Prevalence of Autism

Around 700,000 people in the UK may be autistic, that is, more than 1 in 100 in the population.

This page provides details of scientific studies of the prevalence and incidence of autism - including Aspeger syndrome, autistic disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder (not otherwise specified) - which have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
