Managing Repetitive Behaviours Programme

The Managing Repetitive Behaviours Programme (MRB programme) is a multi-component programme designed to help parents deal with repetitive and restricted behaviours in children on the autism spectrum.

The programme focuses on helping parents understand repetitive and restricted behaviours, identify potential developmental and environmental factors that may trigger these for their child, and teaches them to to use a functional analytic approach to plan appropriate behaviours which are effective for their child and family.

The MRB programme was developed by staff at Newcastle University in the UK.
