Counselling

Talking treatment, also known as therapy or psychotherapy, which allows individuals to talk about their problems.

There are many different forms of counselling including

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT
  • Humanistic, which includes person centred, transactional analysis and gestalt approaches
  • Psychodynamic, which includes psychoanalytic approaches

Counsellors do not normally give advice but help their clients to find their own solutions.
