Visual Stress

Visual stress is a condition in which an individual cannot see clearly so the world seems disjointed, confused and scary.

Unlike long or short sight, the problems are not caused by refractive error.

Visual stress is also known as visual discomfort, scotopic sensitivity syndrome, Irlen sydrome or Mears-Irlen syndrome.
