Multi-Vitamin Supplement

Multivitamin/mineral supplements (also known as MVM supplements, multis and multiples or simply vitamins) contain a combination of vitamins and minerals, and sometimes other ingredients as well.

There are many types of multivitamin/mineral supplements in the marketplace. Manufacturers choose which vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients, as well as their amounts, to include in their products.

Some people believe that individuals with autism don't have enough vitamins or minerals in their bodies, or that their bodies are poor at making use of the vitamins and minerals available to them.

These people believe that these nutritional deficiencies may be the cause of some of the symptoms of autism, such as impaired communication and social difficulties.

They also believe that some of these problems can be overcome by taking multivitamin/mineral supplements.
