Communication Interventions

Communication interventions are a very wide group of interventions and include any interventions which are specifically designed to increase or improve the communication skills of individuals with autism.

Communication interventions include all forms of speech and language therapy, all forms of alternative and augmentative communication, as well as some forms of behavioural and developmental interventions.

Communication interventions may be delivered by a variety of professionals and carers, including speech and language therapists, parents, teachers and others.
