Phenytoin
Phenytoin is a type of anticonvulsant, which is sold under various brand names including Dilantin, Epanutin and Phenytek.
Phenytoin is used to to prevent or reduce the severity of seizures. It is also used to treat irregular heartbeat, migraine and facial nerve pain.
Some people believe that some anti-convulsants can also be used to reduce some of the core symptoms of autism, such as social and communication difficulties and repetitive, compulsive behaviour.
Please note that phenytoin, like most other medications, can cause side effects in some people.
