Gold Salts

Gold salts are compounds which contain tiny amounts of gold. They are sometimes found in medications used to treat inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.

Medications which include gold salts are available in a variety of forms, including capsules and injectable solutions.

Auranofin is sold under the brand name ridaura. Gold sodium thiomalate, also known as sodium thiomalate or sodium aurothiomalate, is sold under various brand names including aurolate and myocrysine.

Please note that medications containing gold salts may produce significant and potentially fatal side effects.
