Syndrome
A syndrome is a group of symptoms that collectively indicate or characterise a condition, disorder or disease.
For example, Asperger syndrome is a form of autism characterised by normal or above average intelligence.
There are many other syndromes which are comorbid, that is, they commonly occur alongside or are sometimes associated with autism.
Some of the syndromes which sometimes occur alongside autism are listed below.
Please note: The fact that someone is on the autism spectrum does not necessarily mean that they will have any other syndromes.
