Diagnostic Instrument for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO)

The Diagnostic Instrument for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO) is a diagnostic tool for assessing autism in children and adults.

The DISCO consists of a semi-structured interview designed to assess impairments in the areas of social interaction, social communication and social imagination, and repetitive behaviours associated with autism.

The DISCO is designed to be used by professionals with some experience of working with people on the autism spectrum.

The DISCO was developed by Lorna Wing and Judith Gould.
