Flexyx Therapy

Flexyx therapy is a form of biofeedback training, in which an individual's own brainwaves are used to return information back to the brain.

'Floortime' exercises are designed to allow the carer to take an active, developmental role in spontaneous and fun activities that are directed by the child's interests and actions.

Fluconazole

Fluconazole is a type of antifungal medication, used to treat a range of fungal infections.

Fluoxetine

Fluoxetine is a type of SSRI antidepressant which is used to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety and depression.

Fluphenazine

Fluphenazine is a type of typical antipsychotic, used to treat schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and hostility.

Fluvoxamine

Fluvoxamine is a type of SSRI antidepressant, used to treat a range of conditions but especially obsessive compulsive disorder.

FMT

FMT is an acronym for fecal (faecal) microbiota transplantation, the process of transplantation of fecal bacteria from one person to another.

Focalin

Focalin is a brand name for dexmethylphenidate, a type of stimulant medication, used to treat inattention and hyperactivity.

Focus Parent Training

The Focus Parent Training programme is a home-based parent-training intervention.

Focussed Interventions

Focussed interventions are designed to address a single skill or goal of a student on the autism spectrum.

Folacin

Folacin is another term for vitamin B-9, which is one of the B-group of vitamins.

Folate

Folate is another term for vitamin B-9, which is one of the B-group of vitamins

Folic Acid

Folic acid is another term for Vitamin B-9, which is one of the B-group of vitamins.

Folinic Acid

Folinic acid is an active form of folate, another term for Vitamin B-9, which is found naturally in foods.

Food supplements is another term for dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbs and other substances meant to improve diet.

Frameworks for Communication

Frameworks for Communication is an approach based on encouraging parents to teach non-verbal communication skills such as pointing, before moving towards spoken language.

Frankfurt Social Skills Training programme (KONTAKT)

The Frankfurt Social Skills Training progamme (KONTAKT) is a social skills group for children and adolescents on the autism spectrum.

Full Language Approach

The full language approach to teaching involves the use of full sentences, with simplified vocabulary and structure, alongside visual materials, and informally assessed understanding.

Functional Analysis

A functional analysis is a process designed to provoke a behaviour in order to test theories about why the behaviour is happening.

Functional Communication Training

Functional communication training is a behavioural strategy for teaching people to use signs or other techniques as substitutes for the 'messages' underlying their challenging behaviour.
